Researching at Venango County Historical Society

The Venango County Historical Society houses an Archival Resource Center and a Genealogical Research Library, aside from the House Museum. Our collection include an extensive Photograph Collection, consisting of historical photos from all areas of Venango County, collections of vintage clothing, and artifacts of every type. These are in addition to our archival and library collections.

Archival Resource Center

VCHS's Archival Resource Center is a climate-controlled facility that houses documents and photographs related to the county.

These materials are available for research by appointment only.

Genealogical Research Library

Our Genealogical Research Library houses birth, marriage, and death records, county histories, city directories, church and cemetery records, family histories, and much more
