Venango County Historical Society House Museum

Take a step back in time to to an era when gas lamps lighted the night and your source for the evening's entertainment might be a game of cards or viewing scenes of the world on a stereoptican.  Wood-burning fireplaces heated your home in the winter, and open windows cooled it in the summer.

The Society's historic home is the backdrop for rotating displays that change throughout the year.  Volunteers are on hand to explain displays of artifacts from Society collections that are used to tell the stories of the people who lived in Venango County, and of the families who lived in our Society house.

Museum Hours

May 1 - December 31 ~ Monday-Friday  ~ 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
