Venango County Historical Society
PO Box 101 307 South Park Street Franklin, Pennsylvania 16323
As with all non-profit organizations, we rely on the generousity of our members and friends. Although we do receive monies through grants, trusts, and our endowment fund, it is our fundraisers and donations that carry us through.
General donations help us to keep the lights on in our house museum and Genealogical Research Library, and help to operate the climate control equipment in the Archival Resource Center. Without this equipment, many irreplacable documents would be lost - two original ledgers from trading posts operating near Fort Franklin in the 1790s; all of the will, estate, and naturalization papers from Venango County Courthouse covering the years 1800 - 1900; letters and diaries from families all over Venango County; letters home, diaries, and military documents from Venango County veterans of all major wars; and many more miscellaneous business, club, church, legal, and personal papers that document this county's history.
Please consider a donation to Venango County Historical Society
and know that your donation is greatly appreciated.
