World War I Monument
Venango County Historical Society is replacing the old wooden World War I monument that was removed from the park near the courthouse several years ago. The monument will honor all of those from Venango County who served during World War I, and will consist of two parts - a life-size granite doughboy and granite tablets containing the names of Venango County's veterans. The doughboy was unveiled on August 16, 2014. For photos of the statue and the ceremony, click the Doughboy Statue link. The Egbert-Mullins-Koos House
The Egbert-Mullins-Koos House will become the new home of Venango County Historical Society. It is located just next door to our current home, at 307 South Park Street. The house will require extensive renovations in two rooms that will become our Archival Resource Center and Genealogical Research Library. The rest of the home will become our House Museum, with the exception of two rooms that will be offices for our Executive Secretary and Executive Director.
